The Kansas City Royals were founded in 1969 in Kansas City Missouri. They get their name from the American Royal Livestock Show which was held in Kansas in 1899. For the team's first four seasons, they called Municipal Stadium their home. Based out of Kauffman Stadium since 1973, the Royals have won six division titles, two American League Pennants and one World Series Title.
