The Cleveland Browns have been shaped by great football personalities since the franchise was founded in 1946, when it was named after famed Ohio sportsman Paul Brown. It was Art Modell who caused a ruckus among fans in 1996 when he relocated the team to Baltimore, leaving Cleveland without an active football team for three years. By 1999, the city had rebuilt its roster and its stadium, and they've played out of Cleveland Browns Stadium ever since.
